Beyond the Field
The Valkyrie mission extends into the community through active participation in regional events and local advocacy. As a volunteer-led 501(c)3 organization, we prioritize presence and partnership to help grow the landscape of women’s sports.

Strength & Power Competitions
We maintain a regular presence at regional strength events to support local athletes and showcase the physical standards of our sport. In 2025, the Valkyrie participated in the Strength of Your Pack Strongman competition at West Ridge High School. Our team also maintains involvement with local training hubs, including additional Strongman events held at The Yard Strength and Training and Iron Mayhem Strength and Conditioning. These appearances allow us to connect with the regional lifting community and support the culture of high-level athleticism.

Community Festivals & Advocacy
Visibility and inclusion are core to our recruitment and outreach efforts. We are active participants in TriPride festivals, where we raise awareness for the team and support the LGBTQIA+ community. Additionally, the Valkyrie compete in charity flag football tournaments that benefit Carter County Drug Prevention initiatives, using the game as a platform to support health and wellness across the region.

Athlete Development & Mini-Camps
For those interested in the sport but unsure where to start, we host Valkyrie Mini-Camps. These sessions are designed for athletes to explore the team environment without immediate pressure. We focus on teaching the fundamentals of the game, including specific skill sets and positioning. These camps demonstrate how individual effort contributes to the collective success of the roster, providing a clear entry point for future players.
